Won Shin's work experience begins in 2004 when they worked as a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at the College of Technology Kurunegala. In 2006, Shin became a Consultant at BearingPoint before transitioning to Romax Technology later that year. At Romax, Shin initially worked as an Engineering Manager, overseeing an engineering team that provided data analytics and design optimization services to major automotive, heavy industries, and aerospace companies. In 2010, Shin became a Product Manager for Predictive Maintenance Software, and in 2012, they were promoted to Head of Engineering for Wind Energy in the Asia Pacific region. Shin remained in this role until 2017.

In 2018, Shin joined ONYX InSight as a Software Product Manager, where they designed and oversaw the development of FieldPro, a mobile-first, cloud-based application for digitizing technical inspections of wind turbine equipment. In 2019, Shin became the Head of Machine Learning and Analytics Products at ONYX InSight before being promoted to their current position as the Global Vice President of Products in February 2021.

Won Shin completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Seoul National University from 1998 to 2002. Won then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Artificial Intelligence from Seoul National University from 2016 to 2018.
