Michael L. Woodson

Michael L. Woodson serves as the Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Cyber Security Strategist at Onyx Spectrum Technology, Inc., starting in 2024, and is a founding member of the BostonCISO Advisory Board. With extensive experience in cybersecurity, Michael holds memberships with the CyberEdBoard Community and the CISO Governing Body at Evanta, a Gartner Company. Michael has previously directed information security and privacy at Sonesta Hotels and successfully implemented a $15 million security modernization initiative as CISO for the MBTA, enhancing security frameworks. Career roles also include leadership positions at Infosys, Taino Consulting Group, State Street, and Santander Bank, emphasizing risk management, security governance, and strategic implementation of cybersecurity initiatives. Michael's educational background includes a Master of Science in Economic Crime Management from Utica University and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Boston University, among others.
