Daniel Pereira has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Daniel currently serves as the Editor in Chief and Research Director at OODA LLC, where they help clients identify and respond to global risks while also providing analysis and insight on global security, technology, and business issues. In their previous role at Investor Group Services (IGS), they worked as a Researcher. Before that, Daniel worked at Deloitte in multiple roles, including the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Institute for Research and Innovation, Market Development, and Strategy, Brand, and Innovation. Daniel also has experience as an independent consultant at The Pereira Group, providing subject matter expertise, research, and consulting services to various companies and institutions. Daniel has worked at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a Lead Researcher for the MIT Communications Futures Program (CFP) and as a Contract Program Manager for the MIT Political Science Explorations in Cyber International Relations (ECIR) program. Daniel also served as the Managing Director for the MIT Convergence Culture Consortium (C3). Earlier in their career, Daniel worked as an independent consultant for Swift River Studios and held the position of Director of Business Development at XStream Systems. Daniel founded and directed The City Collective, a cross-platform/digital media design and production collective. Prior to that, they worked at IBM as a Creative and Technical Manager at the IBM Digital Media Laboratory and as a Production Manager for the Illuminated Books and Manuscripts project. Daniel's work experience showcases their expertise in research, strategy, innovation, and consulting across various sectors.

Daniel Pereira has a diverse education history. From 1984 to 1988, they attended Mary Star of the Sea High School but did not earn a degree or specialize in any particular field. Following this, they enrolled in Harvard University from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained a degree in English and American Literature and Language. During their time at Harvard, in 1991 and 1992, they also pursued additional studies in Futures Researcher/Scenario Planning. After completing their undergraduate studies, Daniel attended the University of Southern California from 1994 to 1997 as a candidate for a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Film, Television, Video, and Computer Animation. In 2008 to 2011, they engaged in professional development courses and participated in the Independent Activities Period (IAP) at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Finally, in 2017, they obtained a certificate in Social Media Analysis through a program at Boston University.
