Goran Marjanovic

Goran Marjanovic is currently the Manager of Data Science and Engineering at oOh!. In this role, they lead the development of data strategies to deliver data products and elevate data maturity. Goran also manages a team of Data Scientists, Machine Learning, Data, and Reporting Engineers. Prior to their current role, Goran was a Lead Data Scientist at WooliesX from October 2020 to March 2021 and a Senior Data Scientist at WooliesX from November 2018 to October 2020. Before joining WooliesX, they worked as a Lead Data Scientist at HIVERY from October 2016 to November 2018. Goran's earlier work experience includes serving as an Associate Lecturer at the University of New South Wales from September 2014 to September 2016 and as a Researcher in Machine Learning at the University of Michigan from September 2013 to September 2014.

Goran Marjanovic completed their education in a chronological manner. Goran started their academic journey in 2004 at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, which they completed in 2008. During the same period, they also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.1) in Electrical Engineering from UNSW.

After their undergraduate studies, Goran Marjanovic continued their academic pursuits and enrolled in a PhD program at UNSW in 2009. Goran focused their research on Machine Learning: Algorithm Development - Penalised Regression and successfully completed their PhD in 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Goran Marjanovic has also obtained various certifications to enhance their skills. These certifications include "Leadership: Practical Skills" from LinkedIn, and several data science-related certifications from LinkedIn and DataCamp, such as "Data Science Foundations: Data Engineering," "Deploying Scalable Machine Learning for Data Science," "DevOps for Data Scientists," "Docker for Data Scientists," "Introduction to Airflow in Python," "Introduction to PySpark," and "Machine Learning with PySpark." Goran has also pursued a certification in "Google Cloud Platform Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals" from Coursera.
