Ian Staunton

Director Of Client Services at Ookla

Ian Staunton has over 15 years of work experience in various roles and companies. Ian started their career in 2004 as an IT Operator at Meteor Mobile Communications and later became an IT Operations Team Leader. During their time at Meteor Mobile Communications, Ian played a key role in securing system environments, reducing customer-facing incidents, and implementing projects.

In 2011, Ian joined The Now Factory, an IBM Company, as a Customer Solutions Architect. In this role, they provided consultancy services to operators, developed revenue generation methods, and responded to requests for proposals from potential customers.

Ian then moved to IBM in 2014, where they worked as a Technical Sales and later as a Commercial Product Manager. Ian was responsible for selling big data solutions to telecom companies and managing commercial products in the telco industry.

Since 2016, Ian has been working at Ookla as a Technical Account Manager and is currently the Director of Client Services. Their responsibilities include managing client accounts and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Ian Staunton attended Mount Temple from 1993 to 1999, where they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. Following that, from 2000 to 2005, they studied IT at Technological University Dublin, specializing in Computer Science & Software Engineering.
