Sammy Landström

Sammy Landström has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. In 2005, Sammy started working as a System Developer at Telenor Sverige AB, where they gained experience in .Net development and worked on VOIP-mediation systems and CRM-systems. Sammy then transitioned to a role as a Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Developer, focusing on BI development and design using Microsoft SQL Server services.

In 2010, Sammy joined Betsson Group as a Business Intelligence Developer, where they collaborated with the business to create a BI and warehouse solution supporting the company's multi-brand strategy. They also served as the Team Manager for the BI team, leading its growth from 7 to 27 members and implementing agile BI processes and scrum methodologies.

From 2013 to 2014, Sammy worked at Betsson Group as the Product Owner for Business Intelligence, taking responsibility for supporting the Commercial function and driving the BI department's CRM capabilities. They later joined If P&C Insurance as a Scrum Master and Business Intelligence Technical Lead, contributing to the development and delivery of a new cross Nordic system for actuarial reserves calculation.

In 2014, Sammy became the CTO at Sparks AB, where they had a combined role as the CTO and senior consultant. They had responsibilities for introducing new technologies in data and analytics to the company and building partnerships with vendors like Snowflake and Matillion. In addition, Sammy worked as a Senior Data & Analytics Consultant, providing expertise in data and analytics to clients.

In 2016, Sammy took on a consultant assignment as a Data Warehouse and Tableau Technical Lead at Tradera, delivering a new data warehouse solution and enabling self-service and access to data for business users. They then moved on to Svenska Spel as a Consultant Assignment for Data & Analytics, working on projects to maximize the business value of the company's Big Data platform.

From 2019 to 2021, Sammy had two concurrent roles. They worked as a Consultant Assignment as a Solution Architect for Data Lake and Data Warehouse at OKQ8, creating a new data platform on Azure. They also joined Solita as a Data Tech Lead, contributing to the company's digital transformation initiatives.

Before their current role, Sammy was the Chief Technology Officer at CellRebel, a Swedish company specializing in advanced analytics solutions for mobile operators. Currently, Sammy is the Senior Director of Consumer QoE Data Engineering at Ookla, a position they started in 2022.

Sammy Landström received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Gävle, which they pursued from 1999 to 2002. In addition to their degree, Sammy has obtained several certifications throughout their career. Sammy became a CERTIFIED ASSOCIATE, SNOWPRO from Snowflake Computing in July 2018. In October 2013, they achieved certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner from Scrum Alliance. Furthermore, Sammy attained certification as a Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect from Google in April 2019. Lastly, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in January 2019.
