Brinda Athreya

Brinda Athreya is an accomplished researcher and educator with extensive experience in qualitative research, human geography, and social behavioral patterns. Currently serving as a Research Associate II at Public Policy Associates and an Independent Researcher for Open Food Network, Brinda's previous roles include Qualitative Research Associate at Case Western Reserve University and Adjunct Professor at Owens Community College, where instruction focused on Human Geography and the Geography of the US and Canada. With a PhD in Spatially Integrated Social Science from The University of Toledo, a Master's in Urban Planning and GIS from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from The National Institute Of Engineering, Mysore, Brinda possesses a strong academic foundation complemented by hands-on experience in GIS, Remote Sensing, and Agricultural Best Management Practices. Prior affiliations include positions at Great Lakes WATER Institute and UW-Milwaukee, where Brinda contributed to significant research projects and data analysis initiatives.
