Pepe García

Senior Regional Coordinator, Americas at Open Government Partnership

Pepe provides guidance and assistance to civil society organizations and governments across North America, Central America, and The Caribbean since 2019, supporting the development and implementation of open government reforms. Prior to OGP, he worked for nearly a decade promoting transparency and openness in Mexico: first at the local level in the State of Oaxaca, and later at the National Institute for Transparency, Access to Information and Personal Data Protection (INAI), where he designed and implemented reforms, policies and projects on transparency, access to information, open data, civic technology, accountability, anti-corruption, and public participation. Before that, he was a legislative advisor at the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Mexican Chamber of Deputies. He holds a BA in International Relations from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
