Shreya Basu

Deputy Director, Country Support at Open Government Partnership

Based in Singapore, Shreya Basu is Deputy Director, Country Support at the Open Government Partnership (OGP). She leads delivery, oversight, and team management for the OGP Support Unit’s work in the Asia and Pacific, and Eastern Partnership regions. She is responsible for improving the services offered by OGP to governments and civil society in member countries, and working across teams on the design and delivery of new strategic initiatives for country support such as the refresh of the OGP Local Strategy in 2020.

Before OGP, Shreya worked at Publish What You Fund where she led the research and monitoring work steam, led the annual Aid Transparency Index development, and successfully advocated for some of the world’s largest donor agencies to make their aid transparent. Other experiences include working with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore where she conducted research on anti-corruption and public sector reforms in South and Southeast Asia, and private sector experience conducting fraud investigations and delivering fraud risk management and anti-corruption compliance programs for multinational clients operating in India for Ernst & Young. She is a graduate of Yale University’s Master in International Relations program.
