Lara Groves

Lara Groves has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Lara is currently working as an Associate Director of Primary Data at OPEN Health since September 2023. Prior to that, they were a Member of the Health Equity Research Special Interest Group at ISPOR—The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research starting from March 2023. Before joining OPEN Health, Lara worked as a Principal Real World Evidence Consultant at OPEN Health Evidence & Access from May 2022 to September 2023.

In the past, Lara gained experience in the field of healthcare research and data science at HEOR. Lara held positions such as a Senior Researcher, Data Science & Analytics from July 2021 to May 2022, a Researcher, Data Science & Analytics from May 2020 to July 2021, and a Medical Writer from October 2017 to May 2020.

Lara'searlier experience includes working as a Data Analyst at Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing in 2014 and as an Industrial Trainee - Analytical Research & Development at Pfizer from September 2012 to September 2013.

Lara Groves completed their PhD in Bioinorganic Chemistry at Cardiff University from September 2014 to October 2017, where they conducted research on the development of an electrochemical biosensor for detecting C. diff and the development of inorganic gold(I) anti-cancer compounds. Lara was also involved in monitoring their mode of action in human cancer cells.

Lara Groves completed their undergraduate education at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd from 2010 to 2014. Lara earned a degree in MChem Chemistry with a Year in Industry, specializing in Inorganic Chemistry.
