Sílvia Neto Bessa

Sílvia Neto Bessa is a co-founder and Research Director at Open Impact Foundation, where responsibilities include leading fundraising initiatives and establishing a research agenda focused on blockchain and artificial intelligence. Prior to this role, Sílvia served as Lead Program Manager at Protocol Labs, enhancing research roadmapping in the web3 space and integrating AI into tools for community engagement. Sílvia’s extensive experience encompasses project management and research leadership across various initiatives in decentralized science, machine learning, and biomedical engineering, supported by a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Porto. Key competencies include web3 strategy, crypto-friendly financial management, and large-scale decentralized project management.
