Dara Homer

Dara Homer currently serves as a Recruiter at Open Philanthropy and as a Content Editor at Connect For Animals, both positions held since 2025. Additionally, Dara is a Contributing Editor at BroadwayWorld.com, a role maintained since 2018. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Donor Communications Specialist and Development Writer at The Good Food Institute, where advocacy for a sustainable food system was central to the organization’s mission. Dara has also held positions as a Board Member for DC Veg Week, Program Coordinator at Leadership Tulsa, and Teacher at both Union Public Schools and CAP Tulsa. Dara's early career included participation in Teach For America as a Corps Member and an internship in theatre education. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University, participation in the Oxbridge Scholars Program at the University of Cambridge, theatre training at Brown University, and conservatory training from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
