Paroan Surangkanarom has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. In 2006, Surangkanarom worked as an Internal Admissions Assistant at Brown University. The following year, Surangkanarom served as a Trainee/Intern at the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Thailand to the United Nations, where they drafted briefings and analysis reports for Mission staff. In 2007, they worked as an Editorial Intern at John Wiley and Sons, where they updated peer review systems and created a tracking database for the content management team. Surangkanarom also worked as an Event Planner for Southeast Asian Heritage Week at Brown University, managing budgets and fundraising campaigns. In 2008, Surangkanarom worked as a Copy Editor on a freelance basis. From 2009 to 2015, Surangkanarom was a Senior Marketing Analyst for the Publisher Relations team at Synapse Group Inc., where they conducted industry research, launched research initiatives, and managed project initiatives. Surangkanarom then worked as a Marketing Consultant for content and analytics on a freelance basis in 2017, assisting business clients with marketing strategy and providing editorial feedback. Most recently, Surangkanarom worked at Open Road Integrated Media Inc. as a Senior Manager of Digital Marketing and Retail Analytics, and later as a Director of Marketing Analytics. In these roles, they managed digital advertising campaigns, analyzed marketing and sales data, conducted A/B testing, and optimized promotional strategies.
Paroan Surangkanarom completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Brown University from 2004 to 2008. In 2007, Paroan participated in a Study Abroad Program at King's College London, focusing on Development Geography. Later, in 2015 and 2016, Paroan pursued a Master of Arts degree in Global Media and Transnational Communications from Goldsmiths, University of London.
