Jonathan Birchall

Jonathan Birchall has extensive experience in communications and journalism, currently serving as the Lead Communications Officer at Open Society Foundations since March 2011, where responsibilities include promoting the organization's work and its partners. Prior to this role, Jonathan worked at the Financial Times from January 2000 to February 2011 as an editor and correspondent, and at BBC World Service from 1987 to December 1999 as a reporter and editor. Jonathan Birchall holds a Master of Arts degree in Modern & Medieval Languages from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, earned between 1978 and 1981.
