Liora Danan is an experienced professional in international relations and public policy, currently serving as the Associate Director in the Office of the Vice President for Global Programs at Open Society Foundations since January 2021, where Liora also holds the title of Acting Division Director and Program Officer. Prior to this, Liora was the Chief of Staff at the NYC Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs from January 2017 to January 2021 and held several pivotal roles at the U.S. Department of State between December 2012 and December 2016, including Chief of Staff for the Office of Religion and Global Affairs and Policy Advisor in the Bureau of Conflict & Stabilization Operations. Liora's previous experience includes fellowships and director roles at notable organizations such as CSIS and USCD. Liora holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from Yale University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Policy Studies from Rice University.
