Pedro Vieira Abramovay is an experienced professional in public policy and advocacy, currently serving as Vice-President of Programs and Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at Open Society Foundations since September 2013. Previously, Pedro held the position of Campaign Director at Avaaz.org from March 2012 to August 2013, and worked as a Professor at FGV from February 2011 to August 2013. Pedro's career in the Ministry of Justice included roles as National Secretary of Justice from June 2010 to January 2011 and Secretary of Legislative Affairs from January 2007 to February 2010. Academically, Pedro holds a Doctorate in Political Science from UERJ and a Master’s in Constitutional Law from the Universidade de Brasília, along with an undergraduate degree from USP - Universidade de São Paulo.
