Winnie Kaaria

Winnie Kaaria is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program operations and analysis within the Open Society Foundations since February 2016, currently serving as a Senior Program Operations Officer. Kaaria has a strong background in evaluating and streamlining processes, designing cross-departmental projects, and contributing to strategic direction development. Previous roles include Acting Program Analyst and Senior Information Analyst, where Kaaria supported high-level decision-making through data analysis related to grants exceeding $650 million. Earlier experience includes positions at the NYC Department of Education and the NYC Mayor’s Office of Long Term Planning and Sustainability, along with academic research at NYU. Kaaria holds a Master’s degree in Applied Urban Science and Informatics from New York University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Economics and Environmental Science from Westminster College.
