Lior Kastel

Lior Kastel is an experienced technology professional with a diverse background in software engineering and leadership roles. Currently serving as a Lecturer at The Open University of Israel since March 2024, Lior previously held the position of VP of R&D at Balance from February 2022 to May 2023. Lior has also served as SVP of Engineering at K Health, Engineering Manager and Tech Lead at otonomo, and Full Stack Software Engineer at MentAd. Prior experience includes the role of Senior Software Engineer at Epoch and engineering duties within the Israel Defence Forces. Lior began the career as a CS Teaching Assistant at MEET, focusing on Java and development skills. Lior holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Business Management from Tel Aviv University and completed a program at Y Combinator in 2021.
