Kristen Gilligan

Kristen Gilligan is an experienced educational writer and editor with a strong background in math and science content development. Currently serving as a Math Editor for Open Up Resources since October 2021, Kristen has also been self-employed as a Freelance Educational Writer and Editor since July 2004. Previous roles include Director of Math and Science and Senior Project Manager at Inksplash, where project management and content development were key responsibilities. Kristen has experience as a Project Manager in freelance capacities, overseeing teams of writers, illustrators, and editors, and has contributed as a Site Visitor for Decision Information Resources. In the earlier career, Kristen co-owned Magnolia Landscape, managing accounts and marketing. Additionally, Kristen worked in various educational institutions, focusing on technology integration and computer resources. Kristen holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Radford University.
