Aaron Chatterji

Aaron Chatterji is currently serving as Chief Economist at OpenAI since November 2024 and holds the position of Professor at Duke University, where tenure has been attained since July 2006, focusing on research and teaching. Chatterji was a Visiting Associate Professor at Harvard Business School from July 2014 to July 2015, contributing research on entrepreneurship and innovation while teaching the Entrepreneurial Manager course. Additionally, from April 2010 to August 2011, Chatterji worked as a Senior Economist at the White House Council of Economic Advisers while on leave from Duke University. Chatterji earned a PhD in Business Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, and holds a BA in Economics and International Relations from Cornell University.
