Jelle Zijlstra

Jelle Zijlstra is a skilled engineer currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI since January 2025. Previously, Jelle held the position of Staff Engineer at Quora from July 2013 to January 2025, where contributions included work on infrastructure, security, internationalization, development tools, and machine learning infrastructure, as well as significant projects like the continuous deployment system and the migration from Python 2 to Python 3. Earlier experience includes a Software Engineering Internship at Piazza Technologies Inc. in 2012 and a leadership role as Secretary General for a Model United Nations conference during high school.
