Johannes H

Johannes H. has several years of experience in the field of AI and software engineering. Johannes started their career as a Software Engineer at SAP in 2012, where they worked on data engineering, research, and full-stack development projects. Johannes then joined Polarr in 2019 as an AI Researcher, where they solved complex research problems with recommender systems, computer vision, and NLP. Johannes trained and deployed ML models on mobile and in the cloud and scaled Polarr's data infrastructure. In 2021, they became Polarr's Senior AI Researcher before joining OpenAI the same year as an AI Safety Analyst. Johannes later became a Research Engineer at OpenAI, where they currently work.

Johannes H. received their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Information Systems (Software Engineering) from Cooperative State University, Karlsruhe, Germany in the years 2012 to 2015. Johannes then pursued a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 2016 to 2019. Johannes also obtained several certifications, including Natural Language Processing Specialization from Coursera in October 2021, and Solution Architect Associate (SAA C02) and Machine Learning Specialty (MLS-C01) from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in February and March 2021, respectively.
