Julia Villagra

Julia Villagra currently serves as the Chief People Officer at OpenAI, beginning in February 2024, with a commitment to fostering a mission-driven environment focused on building a better future. Throughout a diverse career, Julia has held significant roles in human resources, including VP of People and Head of Human Resources at Tertulia Chamber Music since November 2010, a venture founded by Julia to integrate live chamber music into casual dining experiences. Julia also served as Head of People at Hudson River Trading from July 2008 to February 2024, where a scientific approach to trading was emphasized. Previous positions include Technical Recruiter and Account Manager at Andiamo and Wilkmark Group Inc, as well as Sales Supervisor at The Donna Karan Company. Julia is also a dedicated parent, embracing the valuable skills and experiences gained through this role. Julia holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Boston University College of Fine Arts, earned in 2006.
