Matt Rimkunas

Matt Rimkunas serves as the Director of Government Relations at Breakthrough Energy since September 2021. Prior to this role, Rimkunas was with Senator Lindsey Graham for over sixteen years, holding various positions including Deputy Chief of Staff, Legislative Director, and Legislative Assistant, where responsibilities included developing legislative proposals and advising on issues related to energy, foreign policy, trade, and immigration. Earlier experience includes serving as Assistant Program Officer at the International Republican Institute and as Legislative Correspondent for Senator John McCain. Matt Rimkunas earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Delaware in 2001 and graduated from Mount Saint Joseph High School in 1997.
