Musa Mahmood is a Research Scientist at OpenBCI since July 2022, with prior experience as a Ph.D. Student and Graduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology from July 2017 to December 2021, specializing in flexible brain-machine interfaces. Previous roles include Research Engineer, focusing on brain-machine interface integration and development of systems utilizing EMG and EEG, and Research Assistant at Virginia Commonwealth University, where wearable bio-interfaced systems were developed using advanced sensor technology. Musa also contributed to a vertically integrated project on stretchable ECG, creating firmware and software for wearable health monitors, and participated in research modeling T-cell responses related to stem cell transplantation.
