Scott Y. has a diverse work experience in electrical engineering, holding various leadership positions. Scott is currently serving as the Head of Hardware at OpenBCI since February 2022. Previously, they worked as the Head of Electrical Engineering for the Mevo, Streamers & Creators Business Group at Logitech from February 2021 to February 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Electrical Engineering at Mevo from March 2019 to February 2021. Scott also has experience as the Director of Electrical Engineering at Vimeo from January 2018 to March 2019. In addition, they held leadership roles at Livestream, serving as the Director of Electrical Engineering from March 2016 to December 2017 and as the Head of Electrical Engineering from August 2014 to March 2016. Before that, they worked as a Senior Electronics Engineer at AppCard from May 2013 to August 2014. Scott started their career as a Staff Electronics Engineer at Brookhaven National Laboratory from February 2007 to April 2013 and earlier worked as a Test Engineer at BAE Systems from June 2005 to February 2007.

Scott Y. earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Stony Brook University, where they attended from 2001 to 2005. Scott then pursued a Master of Science degree in RF Electronics from New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering, where they completed their studies from 2006 to 2010.
