Damien Garaud

Damien Garaud has over 14 years of work experience, starting as a Research Engineer and Ph.D. student in EDF R&D in 2007. Damien later worked as an R&D Engineer at Logilab for three years. In 2014, they worked as an IT consultant at Meritis and a Front Office Tactical Developer at Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking before moving on to a Data Scientist role at Cdiscount. Damien then worked as a Data Scientist/Senior Developer at Oslandia and Senior Data Scientist at Oncrawl, where they worked extensively with natural language processing and machine learning. Currently, they work as a Senior Software Engineer at Opendatasoft.

Damien Garaud earned a Doctorat/Ph. D from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Sciences, Ingénierie et Environnement from 2007 to 2011. Damien also obtained a degree in Ingénieur Modélisation in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from MATMECA from 2004 to 2007. In 2015, they took online classes in Introduction to functional programming in OCaml from Université Paris Cité. Damien Garaud also obtained several certifications in Natural Language Processing and MLOps Fundamentals from Coursera, from August 2020 to March 2023.
