Joseph Sivits

Joseph Sivits has a diverse work experience in the field of computer science and software engineering. Joseph currently works as a Software Engineer I at OpenGov Inc., a fast-growing startup specializing in cloud software for local governments and state agencies. Prior to that, Joseph served as a Software Engineer at Cartegraph.

Joseph also gained experience in various roles at Concordia University Chicago, including IT Services Student Manager, Computer Science Mentor, Information Technology Specialist, and Conference Services Assistant. As a Computer Science Mentor, they volunteered at a mentoring clinic for youth, teaching them programming languages such as SQL, Python, C++, Java, and algorithms.

Joseph worked as a Coding Instructor at Code Ninjas, where they taught students the fundamentals of programming using Scratch, Arduino robotics, and JavaScript game development. Joseph also contributed to Hour of Code initiatives by giving presentations on fundamental game programming. Previously, Joseph was an Application Developer at Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company.
