Scott DeGrant has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Scott is currently working at OpenGov Inc. as a Customer Success Engineer since January 2023. Prior to their time at the City of Arlington, Scott worked at the City of Lufkin as a Park Superintendent from May 1998 to May 2002, and at the Town of Addison as a Recreation Coordinator from April 1997 to May 1998. Scott began their career at Chili's as a Server from August 1991 to June 1996.

Throughout their career, Scott has demonstrated strong project management, technical, and leadership skills. Scott has successfully implemented software systems, managed budgets, and coordinated staff training.

Scott DeGrant received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Sciences from Texas A&M University, where they attended from 1992 to 1996. In terms of additional certifications, Scott DeGrant obtained a license as an Irrigator from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality in June 2013. Furthermore, they also obtained a certification as a Playground Safety Inspector from the National Recreation and Park Association, although the specific date of obtaining this certification is not provided.
