Chris Hoare

Chris Hoare has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in product design, user experience, and graphic design. Chris is currently serving as the Director of Product Design at OPENLANE since June 2021. Prior to that, they were the Manager of User Experience & Design at the same company from November 2019 to June 2021.

Before joining OPENLANE, Chris worked at Scotiabank, where they held several senior positions. Chris served as a Senior UX Designer at the Scotiabank Digital Factory from November 2016 to April 2018, leading user experience initiatives for the bank's digital sales experiences. Chris then became the Senior Manager of Multi-Channel User Experience Design from January 2014 to November 2016, managing a design team responsible for app and browser banking platforms. Chris also served as the Manager of Customer Experience, Self Service + Online Channels from July 2010 to January 2014.

Chris began their career at Apparatus Inc. as a Senior Designer from August 2006 to June 2010. Prior to that, they ran their own design business, Chris Hoare Design, as a Sole Proprietor from July 2005 to May 2010. Chris gained initial graphic design experience at RMP Athletic Locker Ltd. from August 2004 to September 2006 and started their career as a Graphic Designer at the City of Burlington from July 2002 to June 2004.

Chris Hoare attended York University from 2000 to 2004, where they pursued a Bachelor of Design degree with a focus on Graphic Design & Applied Arts.
