Krzysztof Szczerba

Krzysztof Szczerba has a wealth of experience in engineering and research. From 2006 to 2008, they worked as a Laboratory Technician at Ignis Photonyx. From 2008 to 2009, they were a Research Assistant at the Technical University of Denmark, and from 2009 to 2016, they were a PostDoc and PhD Candidate at Chalmers University of Technology. At Finisar Corporation (NASDAQ: FNSR) from 2016 to 2019, they worked as a Sr Staff Engineer, developing next generation VCSEL based optical interconnects, and doing research on energy efficient, high speed optical interconnects with Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM-4 and PAM-8). From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Principal Engineer at II-VI Incorporated, developing time of flight (LiDAR) and 3D sensing systems. Krzysztof is currently employed as a Hardware Engineer Staff at Juniper Networks, and is set to start as a Staff System Engineer at OpenLight in 2022.

Krzysztof Szczerba completed their PhD in Optical Communications from Chalmers University of Technology between 2009 and 2014. Krzysztof received their M.Sc. in Telecommunications from DTU - Technical University of Denmark between 2006 and 2008. Krzysztof also obtained their M.Sc. in Telecommunications and Computer Science from Lodz University of Technology between 2003 and 2008.
