Curtis Mitchell

Curtis Mitchell is an accomplished software engineer and open-source developer with extensive experience in emerging technologies, machine learning, and data analysis. Currently serving as an Emerging Technology Fellow at the U.S. Census Bureau, Curtis contributes to the xD team. As a core team member at OpenMined, Curtis focuses on developing open-source software that integrates machine learning with privacy-enhancing technologies. Prior roles include Senior Software Engineer at NASA Ames Research Center, Machine Learning Engineering Fellow with Springboard, and Software Engineer at Mode, where Curtis significantly enhanced the web platform's functionality. Earlier experience includes positions at Ayasdi, Bluenose Analytics, DNV KEMA Energy & Sustainability, and KEMA Consulting, with a strong educational background in physics and mathematics from the University of North Texas and specialized training in machine learning engineering.
