Irina - Madalina Bejan

Irina-Madalina Bejan is a skilled professional in data science and technology with a track record of diverse roles. Currently serving as Partnerships Tech Lead at OpenMined since January 2021, Irina focuses on enabling technical success for the Christchurch Call and promoting better data governance through PySyft. Previous experience includes a research role at Google, where Irina investigated advanced training methods for NLP models, alongside positions in business development at Nym Technologies SA and leadership roles at Wingman Campus Fund and the EPFL-UNIL Entrepreneur Club. Irina has also contributed as a managing director for Girls Who Code in Iași, fostering a supportive community for women in tech, and co-founded TrueStory, a startup aimed at combating biased news. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Data Science from EPFL and a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Universitatea „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” din Iași.
