Pierre Kil

Pierre Kil is the CEO and Business Development Officer at OpenRemote, a company that specializes in developing panel and cloud based control software. Kil has over 15 years of experience in the business development and sales industry. Prior to joining OpenRemote, Kil worked as the Vice President of Business Development and Sales at OpenRemote from August 2012 to April 2015. In this role, Kil was responsible for the company's global business development and sales strategy.

Before their time at OpenRemote, Kil worked for Philips where they held various positions including Senior Director of Global Application Organization Lighting, Site Director at Philips AppTech Singapore, and GM Lighting Venture Incubator & NBD. In their role as GM Lighting Venture Incubator & NBD, Kil was responsible for the set-up and general management of an incubator for the lighting sector. This incubator had a budget of 16 million Euros and resulted in 50 million Euros NPV in 2 years. Under Kil's leadership, several ventures were successfully adopted by mainstream businesses.

Kil holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Delft in the Netherlands.

Pierre Kil holds a Master's degree in Business Marketing from TIAS School for Business and Society, a Master of Technology Design in Proces & Product Design from Eindhoven University of Technology, and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Pierre also attended Philips van Horne.
