People and Talent Coordinator at OpenRent

Isabelle James has held a variety of roles since 2015. Isabelle began their career as a Sales Assistant at Hallett Retail in 2015, followed by a Human Resources Administrative Assistant at Severn Trent Business Services UK. In 2016, they took on a Volunteer role at WROUGHT Fes and was also a Secretary/Administrative Assistant and Poll Clerk and Counter - EU Referendum at Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council. In 2017, they continued their work at Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council as an Administrative Assistant. In 2018, they were a Receptionist at Spark44, where they managed FOH and coordinated social events, including the Christmas party, and wrote two features in the company’s newsletter about well-being and reading literature. In 2019, they returned to Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council as a Legal Administrative Assistant, where they handled general legal administration for solicitors, organised team socials and well-being activities, and facilitated and participated in a local Sixth Form debating competition in Council Chambers. That same year, they also began working at the University of Cambridge as a PGCE English Teacher, where they gained QTS and completed their PGCE in June 2021. During their time at the University of Cambridge, they taught Key Stages 3-5, including AQA GSCE English Literature and English Language, and AQA A Level English Language and A Level English Literature. In 2021, they joined Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council as a PFI Development Officer and PFI and School Asset Support. Most recently, in 2022, they began working at OpenRent as a People and Talent Coordinator.

Isabelle James attended Arden Academy from 2007 to 2014, where they achieved 3 A Levels and 12 GCSEs including English, Maths and Science. Isabelle then attended The University of Sheffield from 2015 to 2018, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English and Theatre. Finally, they attended the University of Cambridge from 2019 to 2021, where they obtained a PGCE in Secondary English.
