Tim Baker has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Tim began their career as a Retail Sales Assistant at Barbeques Galore Pty Ltd, where they achieved sales targets and provided excellent customer service.

Tim then worked as an Undergraduate Electrical Engineer at FLAMEPROOF ELECTRICS, where they designed electrical enclosures and wiring diagrams for hazardous environments. Tim also operated CNC mills and drafted technical documentation.

Afterward, Tim joined Thales Australia as an Undergraduate Software Engineer, gaining experience in software development. Tim later worked as a Lab Tutor at UTS: University of Technology Sydney, where they assisted undergraduate and research students in computer lab sessions focused on Internet of Things solutions.

Next, Tim joined BUENO as an Application Engineer, involved in low-power wide area network (LPWAN) R&D projects. Tim later became an Integration Engineer, managing LPWAN projects for public REITs.

Tim then joined Meshed IoT as an IoT Technical Specialist, collaborating with government and private sector stakeholders to apply IoT technology in real-world scenarios.

Currently, Tim is working at OpenSC as a Lead Solutions Architect, providing technical leadership to the Implementation Team. Tim is also consulted as a subject matter expert by the Product and Business Development teams. Tim has presented to C-level stakeholders and has played a key role in solutions architecture development.

Throughout their career, Tim has demonstrated expertise in various technical domains, including IoT, software engineering, and solutions architecture.

Tim Baker attended the University of Technology Sydney from 2012 to 2019. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering along with a Diploma in Engineering Practice (BE DipEngPrac). Tim achieved First Class Honours in their field of study.
