Loni Mahanta

Loni Mahanta is the current VP of Policy & Government Affairs at OpenSea, a position they have held since 2021. Prior to this, they served as the VP of Government Relations and Public Policy at Zillow from June 2021 to March 2022. Before that, they were at HopSkipDrive and The Brookings Institution.

Loni has been with Lyft since 2015, where they started as the VP of Policy Development and Research. In this role, they were responsible for crafting strategic solutions for the company's core policy issues and driving operational and programmatic priorities. Loni also led Lyft's "Future of Work" initiatives, from portable benefits and the creation of a modern, flexible safety net to addressing worker issues and automation.

Loni is a highly experienced public policy professional with a deep understanding of the legislative process and a proven track record of successful advocacy on behalf of their clients. Loni is a skilled negotiator and consensus builder who is able to develop creative solutions to complex problems.

Loni Mahanta graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations. Loni then attended the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where they earned their Doctor of Law degree magna cum laude.
