Shahin Amini has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. Shahin started working as a Software Engineering Consultant at CARBON IT in 2016, where they worked on multiple missions for different companies and also designed service architectures. Shahin primarily used Scala, including Lightbend (Akka, Play) for coding.
In 2019, Shahin joined Ditto Services as a Lead Software Engineer. Shahin played a key role in designing and programming a fully functional data streaming library/framework in Scala. This library implemented the transactional outbox patterns on Kafka with Postgres and utilized Cats and FS2 libraries.
Most recently, Shahin joined Opensee in 2020 as a Lead Software Engineer.
Shahin Amini earned a Master's degree in Cognitive Science from Ecole normale supérieure in 2010. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at Université Paris Cité in 2011. Finally, Shahin completed their education by obtaining a PhD in Computer Science from Université Paris Cité in 2015.
