Shawn Cox

Shawn Cox is a highly experienced technology and FinOps architect, currently serving as a Senior Principal in the Cloud FinOps group at OpenText since January 2016, focusing on optimizing multi-million USD cloud expenditures through advanced governance and reporting. With a background as Owner and Principal Photographer and Designer at ShockOx Photography, Shawn oversees all aspects of the business, including sales and operations. Previous roles include Technology Advisor at Autix, Solutions Development Manager at Forsythe Technology, and Senior Systems Engineer and Texas Regional Operations Manager at Mentora Group, showcasing a strong capability in leadership and technology strategy. Additionally, Shawn has a foundational background in system administration from Plains Cotton Cooperative Association, where responsibilities included data center management. Shawn holds a degree in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University.
