SVP of Strategic Sales at Opentrons

Eric Poley is the Senior Vice President of Strategic Sales at Opentrons. Eric was previously with botkeeper as the Senior Vice President of Sales from September 2019 to December 2020.

At botkeeper, Eric was responsible for leading the sales team and executing on the company’s sales strategy. Eric helped grow botkeeper into a successful business by automating bookkeeping workflows and broader accounting functions through the company’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform.

Under Eric’s leadership, botkeeper became known as the future of AI-assisted bookkeeping, with machine learning transforming key workflows across accounting. The company was even backed by Gradient Ventures (Google's AI Venture Practice).

Now at Opentrons, Eric is using their expertise in sales to help grow the company and take advantage of the tremendous opportunity that awaits them in the coming months and years.

Eric Poley graduated with a B.S. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. Eric then went on to obtain their MBA in Entrepreneurship from the Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business. Lastly, they completed their Master of Business Administration - MBA in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from McQuaid Jesuit.

Eric Poley reports to Jonathan Badal, CEO. They are on a team with Chiu Chau - Co-Founder and CTO, Mike Gaffney - SVP of Sales, Robotics, and Greg Greeley - COO.
