Samantha Rist

Samantha Rist is an experienced HR and business leader with a strong background in scaling organizations and building high-performance teams. Currently serving as Vice President of People at Hiya Inc. since July 2022, Samantha is responsible for recruiting, retaining, and developing talent to create a competitive advantage. As an advisor for OpenWater Group and PeopleTech Partners, Samantha contributes to cultivating professional communities and supporting early-stage businesses, respectively. Previously, Samantha held significant roles at Ekata, KATERRA, and Schlumberger, where notable achievements included driving explosive growth and establishing robust HR capabilities during rapid expansions. Samantha holds a Bachelor's Degree in Geological Engineering from Cornell University and two postgraduate degrees from Heriot-Watt University, including a Master's in Management of the Oil & Gas Industry.
