Thinus Pollard

Thinus Pollard has a diverse work experience in the field of banking and financial technology. Thinus began their career as a Developer at Erlang Financial Services in 2005 and then moved on to work as a Developer at Postilion in 2007. In the same year, they transitioned to the role of Solutions Architect at S1 Corporation, where they worked until 2012.

From 2012 to 2015, Thinus held the position of Solutions Consultant at ACI Worldwide, where they were responsible for presenting business-focused solutions to potential customers and providing sales support. Thinus then joined Interfile as a Senior Developer for a short period in 2012.

Thinus further advanced their career as a Senior Pre-sales Consultant at BPC Banking Technologies from 2013 to 2015. Thinus then joined Barclays Africa Group Limited as a Lead Solutions Architect in 2015 and worked there until 2019.

Currently, Thinus is serving as a Business Relationship Manager at OpenWay since May 2019. Overall, they have gained extensive experience in various technical and leadership roles throughout their career.

Thinus Pollard completed their education in computer science, starting with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree from North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit, which they obtained between the years 2000 and 2003. Thinus then pursued further studies and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree from Leiden University, specializing in Computer Science, during the year 2004-2005. Thinus also achieved an Honours Bachelor of Science (B.Sc Hons) degree in Computer Science from North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit in the year 2004. In terms of additional certifications, Thinus obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in April 2018.
