Dave Hicks has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Dave started their career in 1986 as a SR. Merchandise Manager/Buyer at JC Penney Co, Inc. where they managed a team, negotiated with vendors, and set sales goals. Dave then worked at PetSmart from 1998 to 2012, initially as an Associate Buyer, responsible for product assortment and negotiating with vendors, and later as a Facilities Operations Manager, overseeing waste management, janitorial services, and national accounts. From 2012 to 2014, Dave worked at Capital Contractors Inc. as a National Operations Field Manager and National Account Manager, focusing on janitorial and facilities management solutions. Since 2014, Dave has been working at OpenWorks | Facility Services as the Director of Facility Solutions & Sourcing, where they customize solutions for clients and prioritizes customer satisfaction.

Dave Hicks attended Friends University from 1989 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Human Resources degree in Business Administration and Management. Dave later went on to complete a BS degree in Human Resource Management at the same university from 1991 to 1992.
