Alan Reed

Alan Reed has a diverse work experience in the legal and compliance field. Alan currently holds the position of General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at OpenYield since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Counsel at Domain Money from September 2021 to March 2023. Alan also has experience at Coinbase as a Senior Manager in Financial Institutions Compliance and Regulatory from August 2020 to August 2021. Alan Reed served as the Chief Compliance Officer and Deputy General Counsel at Tagomi from March 2019 to August 2020. Before Tagomi, they worked as a General Counsel at BIDS Trading from April 2015 to February 2019. Alan Reed was the SVP Chief Compliance Officer at E D & F Man Capital Markets Inc. from July 2012 to January 2015. Alan also has experience as a Managing Director at Macquarie Capital (USA) from October 2009 to March 2012. Earlier in their career, Alan Reed held the position of Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel, and CCO at SpreadZero LLC from March 2008 to June 2009. Alan Reed worked as the First Vice President, Director of Compliance, and later as the Chief Compliance Officer at Instinet Group Incorporated from May 2005 to February 2008. Alan started their career as an Associate General Counsel at Reuters from June 2001 to May 2005.

Alan Reed has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics from William & Mary. Alan also holds a Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. In addition, Alan has obtained certifications in FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
