Blockchain Security Researcher at OpenZeppelin

Andres Bachfischer has held multiple positions in the tech industry since 2013. Andres began their career as an intern at the GAEN sector of the CNEA and the robotics group of the CAREM nuclear reactor. In 2018, they joined CoinFabrik as a Blockchain Development Researcher, where they were responsible for crypto-assets investing-platform backend development, back-end, DB & API development, researching needed functionalities, performing performance tests, and developing modules & smart contracts. That same year, they also joined Terrae as a Backend & Blockchain Architect, where they were responsible for back-end & blockchain architectural design, performance tests, researching state channels based scaling solutions, developing smart contracts, and researching security in cryptoassets handling. In 2019, they joined OpenZeppelin as a Blockchain Security Researcher.

Andres Bachfischer has an extensive educational background. Andres obtained a Mechanical Engineer degree from Universidad Nacional del Comahue in 2009-2011, followed by a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree from Balseiro Institute (National University of Cuyo) in 2014-2017. In 2018, they completed an Audit Student program in Computer Science at the University of Buenos Aires. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications: a JavaScript Tutorial course from SoloLearn in November 2018 and a SQL Fundamentals Course from SoloLearn in March 2017.
