Minhaz Abedin currently serves as Philanthropy Director at Latafa, where focus is on enhancing global presence through philanthropy and international diplomacy. In addition, Minhaz is the Marketing Director at WeAreTheCity, dedicated to supporting women's careers, and serves as Chair of the Communities Committee and Board Trustee for Opera North, a leading arts organization. Formerly, Minhaz was the CEO of Future Talent, aimed at empowering young musicians from low-income backgrounds, and founded Abedin Collective Global, a global marketing agency. Additional experience includes a Youth Delegate role at the United Nations, consultancy for Heineken and Porsche, and leadership positions within World Merit, focusing on youth empowerment and sustainable development goals. Minhaz holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Politics and International Relations from Lancaster University and A Levels in Politics, Economics, and English Literature from The Grammar School at Leeds.

Opera North is England’s national opera company in the North and one of Europe’s leading arts organisations.
