Yuansong Liao

Yuansong Liao has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Yuansong began their career as an Assistant Lecturer at Guangdong University of Technology in 1989. In 2000, they joined Fair Isaac / HNC Software as an Analytics Science Manager and Senior Staff Scientist. Yuansong then moved on to IDAnalytics in 2004 and served as a Senior Scientist. Later that year, they joined Basepoint Analytics as the VP of Analytics, Director of Analytics, and Principal Scientist. In 2008, Yuansong joined Opera Solutions, where they held multiple roles including Co-COO, Chief Scientist, VP Analytics, and Senior Analytics Manager.

Yuansong Liao began their education in 1985 at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, where they pursued a B.Eng in Computer Science and Engineering. Yuansong completed this degree in 1989. In 1991, Liao attended the University of Cambridge, where they obtained an M.Phil in Computer Speech and Language Processing. This program lasted until 1992. Following this, Liao continued their academic journey at the Oregon Graduate Institute of Science and Technology from 1994 to 1998, studying Computer Science and Engineering/Computational Finance as a Ph.D Candidate.
