Dr. Mizer

Dr. Mizer has a diverse and extensive background in counseling and coaching, with a career spanning several decades. Retired since August 1998, Dr. Mizer has served as a life coach since August 2020, providing guidance in areas such as addiction and sobriety, business, and executive leadership. Prior experience includes roles as a substance abuse counselor at Venice Hospital and Operation PAR, Inc. since 1989, a counselor at DeJarnett Mental Health Hospital since 1974, and Valley Counseling Services from 1972 to 1974. Additionally, Dr. Mizer has contributed to SMART Recovery as a trained facilitator, regional coordinator, and past chairman of regional coordinators since September 2011, along with experience as a mental health therapist at Venice Hospital and in private practice from 1991 to 1995.
