Dr. Bryan Zimmerman has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Their most recent position was at Operation Smile, where they served as Vice President and Associate Vice President. Prior to that, they worked at Bon Secours Health System as the Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety professional. Dr. Zimmerman also held significant roles in various military settings, including Naval Special Warfare Group 4 and Riverine Squadron ONE / Coastal Riverine Squadron 4, where they oversaw medical care and management. Dr. Bryan has extensive experience in training and education, having served as the Director of Training and Education at Naval Health Clinic New England. Dr. Zimmerman began their medical career in 1999 at Naval Hospital Naples Italy as a Hazardous Materials Safety Officer. Overall, they have demonstrated leadership, expertise in medical care, and a commitment to patient safety throughout their career.

Dr. Bryan Zimmerman completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Health Services/Allied Health/Health Sciences from Touro University California in 2004. Dr. Bryan then pursued a Master's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management, also from Touro University California, which they completed in 2009. Later, in 2009, they obtained a certification as a Navy Instructor from the US Navy.

Dr. Zimmerman furthered their education by earning a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Touro University California in 2009. Dr. Bryan recently completed their Doctor of Strategic Leadership degree with a focus on Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Regent University in 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Dr. Zimmerman has obtained several certifications. These include the COVID-19 Contact Tracing certificate from Johns Hopkins University, obtained in 2022, and various leadership certificates from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education, including Inclusive and Ethical Leadership, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace, Emerging Trends in Global Services and Retail Management, and Cross Cultural Leadership, obtained between 2021 and 2023.
