Melissa Cole

Melissa Cole serves as a Board Member for the Lost Pines Groundwater Conservation District and the Board of Directors for Frontier Bank of Texas since 2006. Melissa also holds the position of Medical Advisory Board Chair for Operation Smile and has been involved with the American Red Cross as a Disaster Action Team/Case Worker since 1999. Previously, Melissa was a Board Member for the Global Surgical Consortium until November 2023 and for the Historical Review Board in Elgin, TX from 2010 to 2020. Early in the career, Melissa worked as an equine surgical assistant and in hospital management at Elgin Veterinary Hospital from 1974 to 1998. Additional experience includes serving as a Board Member for the Elgin Independent School District from 1990 to 1993 and incorporating the Elgin Public Library in 1986. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from The University of Texas at Austin.
